Willy Porter- the man, the legend, the folk

Ok, it's been a bit of time, but I have to tell you about Saturday night... the WILLY PORTER CONCERT!!!

Well, like usual he was a god on the guitar. I don't know how he does it, but he always makes it an amazing experience. He played 2 sets for us, so we were there a good 3.5 hours.

Some songs he played (not all, but it's the best i can do):

Paper Airplane- opener

Tribe

Breathe

Jesus on the Grille

You Stay Here- a new one...amazing

Angry Words

Unconditional

Sister

Dirty Movie

Rita

Mystery

...he also did his trademark impromptu song based on the audience. The subjects were: radical peace, hats, origami, and m&ms...

...and to finish off his second set he performed a very cool cover of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. There's a lot more to it than you can imagine.

Like always these songs were unbelievably beautiful, and to watch him play was like heaven. If you haven't heard his music... don't hesitate to give it a look.

back to life - forth to uncertainty

"When it was over, all I could think about was how this entire notion of oneself, what we are, is just this logical structure, a place to momentarily house all the abstractions. It was a time to become conscious, to give form and coherence to the mystery, and I had been a part of that. It was a gift. Life was raging all around me and every moment was magical. I loved all the people, dealing with all the contradictory impulses - that's what I loved the most, connecting with the people. Looking back, that's all that really mattered."
